Feliz Memorial Day Brothers and Sisters!

I literally feel like yesterday was P day haha weeks are flying by down here in Mexico. I had a good one though! I'm learning a ton from my comp even though its hard for me sometimes to accept advice. In the end though I think of how stubborn I was because I didnt want to change even though I knew it would help me. If I learn anything on the mission its patience, humility, and love for everyone no matter who they are.

This week me and the other missionaries and my ward put together a play of the story of Ammon in the Book of Mormon. Haha it was so much fun and the members loved it. I'll try to get the video. I was one of the robbers who lost his arms haha. Talk about superstar!

HOLA MUNDO!

I'm feeling majorly loved right now because pretty much everyone and their dog wrote me an email this week. Thank you sooooooo much! You are all the best and I'm so lucky to have so much love and support. The bad thing is that I have close to no time to write, BUT I want everyone to know how awesome I'm doing here with my comp. We are getting blessed like no other and I'm loving being a representative of Christ right now more than ever.

SPECIAL SHOUTOUT to my Grandma Due because I got a handwritten letter from her last week. Thank you! Also thank you so much for everyone who sent me an email and for all your thoughts and prayers.

Read the Book of Mormon! THE CHURCH IS TRUE.

Love,

PS. sorry I dont have pics this week! Just picture me with a new haircut and a red face on the beach. (Too bad I can't see the beach.)

OLO

SPIDER-HOMBRE
Another week flew down in Cancun city! Its as hot as ever and I'm as red and sweaty as ever too.

So just in case some of you were confused, I'm not in a foursome. I just have one comp, but in the ward that I'm in there's 3 pairs of missionaries including me and Elder Ramirez. I'm grateful to only have one comp too, because it was a lot harder.

Where I wash my laundry
We are still getting to know the ward so we don't have a lot of support right now, but we just have to work harder in inviting them to teach lessons with us. They are all really nice and are willing to help. We just need to talk to them and plan it.

Our first baptism here is lined up for next Saturday so I'm excited for that. Its been a while ha.

Something noteworthy that happened yesterday was when we were walking to an appointment and a man from inside his house yells "Elder! Elder!" I was like, "Where is that coming from?" Ha but he invited us in and his house was just a little room with lots of old dusty books including a basket of LDS literature with about an inch of dust. He tells us he's an ex-luchador (Mexican wrestler) as he points at these old pictures on his wall with him in his mask and cape and everything. Then out of nowhere he shows us his fake leg. Whoa! ha didn't see that one coming. He was baptized 6 years ago and we are going to start visiting him to get him motivated to return to the church. To be continued...
Why do they have a puke sign? @Costco

SHOUTOUT to my big bro Travis who is completing a year this Sunday! ¡FELIZ
CUMPLEANOS A TI! Your present is in the mail.

Everybody have a good week and read your Book of Mormon! And then write me a Dear Elder! Haha CUIDENSE!

Hola Americanos!

A good view of my area
I'm doing really, really good here in Cancun with my new comp getting to know our new ward. Elder Ramirez is pretty cool. He's from DF (Distrito Federal or Mexico City), like Elder Gutierrez, and is one of those people that always says things that make me laugh for no reason. He was actually a hardcore rocker before the mission with long hair and everything and so ya you can guess how he is from that. He has like 4 months left and so I'm thinking I might "kill him" too. He would be my third ha so you can call me an assassin.
Elder Ramirez
The area is really nice compared to Tizimin and all the members are excited to have missionaries again after 4 months. The area was closed just because sometimes the mission president feels like its a good idea to close it, I guess so that when it opens again there will be a lot of work to do. There's no real big reason I don't think. It's weird to be in a big ward with two other pairs of missionaries again like in Chicago. I'm still getting used to having so many people and cars around me. Ha Tizimin was a lot different and I'm going to miss the peace, but I'm excited to see how things go here in Cancun. I'm really not sure if this means I'm going to stay in the Cancun mission because there are two transfers still before the mission split (July 1 I think).
My first fish in Cancun that wasn't half bad
SHOUT OUTS for my little bro Robbie this Sunday!!!!!!! I'll get to see him that day too because I'm going to skype my mom for Mothers Day! Perfect right?! Also my fellow missionary friend Mitch Hussey will be finishing a year this week (how they say it in Spanish). HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Everyone stay safe and say your prayers!
